‘Food4Growth’ project launches grants to support the development of local food supply chains
The ‘Food4Growth’ project has launched two grant schemes worth up to £10,000 each to support the development of local food supply chains.
Food4Growth is joint project across Torfaen, Monmouthshire and Caerphilly to support producers, processors and food poverty services to develop a whole system approach to developing local food. The project is launching two Grant Schemes:
A Rural Business Scheme, where four businesses from each area can pilot innovative ways to add value to their produce or diversify.
A Community Food Scheme, where third sector organisations, community groups or public sector services can develop new project ideas to help tackle food poverty. We would be particularly interested in applications that link to welfare services, encourage local growing or bring a fresh element to the existing projects or services.
Applications to both schemes can apply for up to £10,000 to develop their idea.
Please note the deadline for applications is the 21st February, with a project end date of June 2022.
