Food Sense Wales responds to the publication of the Welsh Government’s Food Matters document
The Welsh Government has today published it Food Matters document in which it outlines its support for the development of food partnerships and the Sustainable Food Places model.
Food Sense Wales is currently at the Royal Welsh Show highlighting how local food partnerships are building visions for healthy and sustainable local food systems – in particular developing local supply chains for organic veg into schools through our Welsh Veg in Schools project.
Food Sense Wales welcomes the publication of this document that summarises the Welsh Government’s food-related policies across portfolios and we look forward to continuing our constructive conversations with various departments around many of these areas of work. In the meantime, Food Sense Wales continues to advocate for a vision and strategy for the whole of the food and farming system in Wales to support the health and wellbeing of our environment, and our current and future generations.
